A 22-year-old man is in critical condition after a crash — believed to be alcohol-related — in Antioch Saturday morning, police said.

The Antioch Fire Department and Antioch Police Department responded around 3:24 a.m. Saturday to Main Street and Route 173 for a report of a vehicle crash with injuries.

A Chevy Monte Carlo and a Ford Focus were involved in a collision in the intersection, police said.

The driver of the Chevy was a 19-year-old Antioch man and the driver of the Ford was a 23-year-old Twin Lakes, Wisconsin woman.

The passenger of the Ford, a 22-year-old Antioch man, suffered serious injuries in the crash and had to be extricated from the vehicle by firefighters.

He was transported to an area hospital and was listed in critical condition. The crash remains under investigation but it appears alcohol was a contributing factor, police said.
