2 stabbed, 2 others injured during disturbance at large party in Woodstock

Two people were stabbed and two others were injured after a disturbance at a large party near Woodstock early Sunday morning.

The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office and Woodstock Fire Rescue District responded around 12:12 a.m. Sunday to a home in the 100 block of South Queen Anne Road in unincorporated Woodstock.

McHenry County Sheriff’s Deputy Sandra Rogers said that deputies arrived and found two people with stab wounds.

One of the victims was transported by ambulance to Northwestern Medicine Hospital in McHenry where they were then flown by helicopter to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville with serious injuries.

The second stabbing victim was transported by ambulance to Northwestern Medicine Hospital in Woodstock in unknown condition.

Dozens of people were reportedly attending a party at the residence when the disturbance broke out.

Rogers said that two other people were injured “as a result of people fleeing the scene.” They were both transported to area hospitals but the extent of their injuries is unknown.

The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident and additional information was not released.

“This is believed to be an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public,” Rogers said.
