Kevin F. Graf, 28, of Lakemoor.

A Lakemoor man who was found guilty of sexually assaulting his former girlfriend in 2018 has been sentenced to four years in prison.

Kevin F. Graf, 28, of the 500 block of Summer Boulevard in Lakemoor, was found guilty of criminal sexual assault and two counts of criminal sexual abuse.

The verdict came in February during a bench trial in front of McHenry County Judge Robert Wilbrandt.

On Thursday, Wilbrandt sentenced Graf to four years in the Illinois Department of Corrections. He will be required to serve 85% of his sentence, according to Illinois truth-in-sentencing guidelines.

The Northwest Herald reported that the victim, who is a former girlfriend of Graf, testified during trial that she and Graf were hanging out, drinking and playing video games at her home prior to the assault.

A bill of indictment charging Graf alleged that he grabbed the woman from behind and placed her in a headlock before fondling and sexually assaulting her on September 17, 2018.
