A teen was hospitalized after he fell 25 feet through a skylight at a vacant school building in Deerfield Sunday evening, police said.
The Deerfield Police Department and Deerfield-Bannockburn Fire Department responded around 10:20 p.m. Sunday to Holy Cross School, 720 Elder Lane.
Officers received a call of an individual who fell through a skylight on the building. Officers located an 18-year-old male who fell approximately 25 feet.
The man was transported by ambulance to Highland Park Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Deerfield Deputy Police Chief Tom Keane said that police are still investigating the injured teen’s intentions.
Holy Cross School closed in 2018 but Holy Cross Catholic Church remains open on the property.
