Two insurance agents donated $3,000 on Thursday to the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office for additional training and equipment.

Country Financial agents Chad Elswick and Steve Nulle, who are based in Woodstock, presented the donation to McHenry County Sheriff Bill Prim.

“On behalf of Country Financial, Chad Elswick and myself recognize and appreciate the hard work the Sheriff’s Office does for our community,” Nulle said.

“We provided this donation to the Sheriff’s Office to allow them to further their training or purchase of new equipment and gear which will help keep them safe,” he added.

Nulle served as a deputy for the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office for eight years and comes from a long line of law enforcement officers who served in McHenry County.

His father, Henry Nulle Jr., was the sheriff of McHenry County from 1980-1986.

“The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office wants to give Country Financial, Chad Elswick, and Steve Nulle our most sincere thanks for their generous donation to the community,” officials said in a statement.
