Two men from North Dakota were found with several hundred grams of cocaine during a traffic stop by state police in McHenry County.

Nathaniel Kelley, 28, of Mandan, North Dakota, and Frederick J. Coachman, 27, of Bismarck, North Dakota, were both charged with possessing 400-900 grams of cocaine and intent to deliver 400-900 grams of cocaine.

The Illinois State Police conducted a traffic stop around 11:30 a.m. on July 23 on a vehicle that Kelley and Coachman were traveling in.

Troopers stopped the vehicle on westbound Interstate 90 at milepost 36 near Marengo in McHenry County, according to Illinois State Police Trooper Gabriela Ugarte.

A criminal complaint filed in McHenry County court shows that troopers recovered between 400-900 grams of cocaine in the vehicle.

Kelley and Coachman were arrested and transported to the McHenry County jail where they remain held on a $300,000 bond.

Kelley is scheduled to appear in court on August 27 and Coachman will appear in court on August 20.
