Police are searching for two 16-year-olds, one a McHenry resident and the other a Wisconsin resident, who went missing together on Friday.
The Lafayette County, Wisconsin Sheriff’s Department said they are seeking assistance from the public in locating 16-year-old Katherine Heimann, of Gratiot, Wisconsin, who has been missing since early Friday morning.
Katherine is believed to be with 16-year-old Alexander Rogers, of McHenry.
Alexander left his residence in McHenry and went to Katherine’s residence south of Gratiot to pick her up at approximately 2:30-2:45 a.m. Friday.
Alexander was driving his black 2000 Ford Ranger with Illinois registration 1522910, the sheriff’s department said.
Their direction of travel is unknown, however, they may have ties to vacation properties of acquaintances in the Hayward, Wisconsin area.
Sheriff’s officials said there is no reason at this time to believe Katherine went against her will.
She did not appear to take a lot of personal belongings with her, including her cell phone.
“Family and friends have reason to believe her safety will be more in jeopardy the longer that she is away from home,” officials said in a statement.
Katherine is a white female, 5-foot-3, 115 pounds, with long, straight blond hair. Alexander is a white male, 6-foot-2, 180 pounds, with brown hair that is longer on top and in the front.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office at (608) 776-4870.
