Police are searching for three men who smashed the front window of a Crystal Lake jewelry store and stole numerous pieces of jewelry early Thursday morning.

The Crystal Lake Police Department responded around 3:56 a.m. Thursday to Dalzell Jewelry, 41 North Williams Street, for a report of a burglar alarm.

Officers discovered forced entry was made to the business through an exterior storefront glass window, according to Crystal Lake Deputy Police Chief Thomas Kotlowski.

Suspect 1 is described as a male of average height and heavy build with a beard, approximately 20-28 years old, around 5-foot-8 and weighing approximately 180 pounds, wearing black pants and a dark blue hoody style sweatshirt.
