An elderly man was injured after he crashed his minivan into a BP gas station in Wadsworth on Wednesday.

The Newport Fire Protection District and Lake County Sheriff’s Office responded around 10:08 a.m. Wednesday to the BP gas station, 39105 North Route 41 in Wadsworth.

A Ford Windstar minivan, driven by an elderly man, collided with the front doors of Graham’s Marketplace convenience store, according to Lake County Sheriff Spokesman Sgt. Christopher Covelli.

Covelli said that the damage to the building was not significant but the vehicle sustained moderate damage to its front-end.
