Police say that a man, who disguised himself by wearing a dress and carrying a purse, was charged after he walked through a yard and peered into the window of a Crystal Lake home.
David L. Khollman, 49, of Crystal Lake, was charged with one count of disorderly conduct, a Class A misdemeanor.
The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office responded on August 5 to the 1600 block of Grand Avenue in unincorporated Crystal Lake for a suspicious incident call.
Sheriff’s deputies were told that the homeowner had reviewed their home security footage of the previous night and noticed a person on their property.
The unknown person, who appeared to be wearing a dress and carrying a purse, was recorded walking through the yard and peering into a window around 12:21 a.m., police said.
An investigation was initiated by the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division and the suspect was identified as Khollman.
He is currently on parole with the Illinois Department of Corrections for a burglary in McHenry County in 2018.
Khollman is a felon and has served prison time for numerous different charges dating back to 2001.
Khollman was arrested on Wednesday and issued a notice to appear for disorderly conduct.
