Police have reopened Grand Avenue in front of Gurnee Mills following a daytime shooting involving two cars Monday afternoon.
The Gurnee Police Department responded around 1 p.m. Monday to the area of Grand Avenue and Gurnee Mills Circle East for a report of shots fired.
Officers arrived and located a vehicle that had been shot at, according to Gurnee Police Department Public Information Officer Shawn Gaylor.
Gaylor said that witnesses reported seeing someone in a black Ford Mustang fire shots at another car.
No one was injured in the shooting. The Ford fled the scene westbound on Grand Avenue.
Video from the scene shows numerous evidence markers over shell casings in the roadway. A sedan was also seen parked inside the perimeter of the crime scene tape.
Westbound Grand Avenue between Gurnee Mills Circle East and Gurnee Mills Circle West was closed by police for approximately two hours while detectives investigated.
The roadway was reopened around 3 p.m.
