A woman was flown to the hospital with serious injuries and three others, including an infant, were also taken to the hospital following a t-bone crash near Marengo on Saturday.

The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office, Marengo Fire Protection District and Union Fire Protection District responded around 8:15 p.m. Saturday to Route 176 and Millstream Road in Seneca Township for a two-vehicle crash with injuries.

McHenry County Sheriff Sgt. Aimee Knop said that a Chrysler Town and Country minivan was traveling northbound on Millstream Road.

The Chrylser stopped at the stop sign and then continued northbound on Millstream Road at Route 176.

The Chrysler failed to clear the intersection and was struck by a Ford F-150, which was traveling westbound on Route 176, Knop said.

The female passenger of the Chrysler was flown by a LifeNet medical helicopter to Javon Bea Hospital—Riverside with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The male driver of the Chrysler along with three people in the Ford — a male driver, a female passenger and an 8-month-old boy — were transported by ambulances to Northwestern Medicine Huntley Hospital for precautionary evaluation.

The male driving the Chrysler was cited for failure to yield at a stop intersection, Knop said.

The crash remains under investigation by the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office.
