A Vernon Hills father was arrested last week and charged with sexually assaulting his daughter, who is under the age of 13, court documents show.

Officers with the Vernon Hills Police Department arrested Haynes on Thursday.

According to a criminal complaint filed in Lake County court, Haynes committed an act of oral contact with his 12-year-old daughter between September 11 and September 24.

The complaint said that Haynes also sexually penetrated his daughter between September 1, 2019, and September 1, 2020.

As part of Haynes’ bond conditions, he was ordered to have no contact with any minor, not possess any firearms or dangerous weapons, submit to random drug and alcohol testing, and have no contact with schools, daycares, or parks.
