Police are searching for a man who pulled a gun and approached an Arby’s employee who was sitting in his vehicle after shift late Wednesday evening in Antioch.
The incident happened around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Arby’s, 501 East Route 173 in Antioch, shortly after the business closed.
The Antioch Police Department said that an employee was sitting in his car in the parking lot of the fast-food restaurant.
A male reportedly removed a gun from his waistband and began approaching the passenger side of the employee’s vehicle, police said.
The employee sped away from the area in his vehicle and immediately called 911. Police officers arrived and began searching the area.
Authorities believe the suspect, who is described as a taller than average white male in his 30s with a dark beard, fled the area in a dark-colored SUV.
Police were unable to locate the suspect or his vehicle and continue to investigate the incident.
“We would like to take this time to remind residents to always be vigilant and remain aware of their surroundings. We encourage residents to call the Antioch Police Department for any suspicious activity,” officials said.
