A California woman wanted since 2017 on charges of drug trafficking over 10 pounds of marijuana to McHenry County has been arrested.

Jennifer L. Wilkinson, 32, of the 1100 block of Greenfield Drive in El Cajon, California, has been charged with cannabis trafficking between 2000-5000 grams and manufacturing and delivering cannabis between 2000-5000 grams.

Jennifer Wilkinson, along with a co-defendant, Jared T. Wilkinson, were both charged in McHenry County court on August 2, 2017.

Jared Wilkinson and Jennifer Wilkinson allegedly shipped 4,825 grams of marijuana to a confidential police source in McHenry County on April 22, 2017.

The Illinois State Police North Central Narcotics Task Force said in court documents that the source paid the Wilkinson duo $14,500 for the marijuana.

McHenry County Assistant State’s attorney Brette Dunbar said in court documents that the proceeds from the sale were deposited into Jennifer Wilkinson’s bank account.

Jennifer Wilkinson, who was processed in the McHenry County jail on Monday, was ordered held on a $100,000 bond.

An arrest warrant for Jared T. Wilkinson is still active.
