No injuries were reported after high winds reportedly caused a semi-truck to rollover on Interstate 94 near Wadsworth on Saturday.
The Illinois State Police responded around 8:54 p.m. Saturday to Interstate 94 near milepost 1.5 for a report of a single-vehicle crash.
Illinois State Police Trooper Jayme Bufford said that a preliminary investigation showed the semi-truck was traveling on the ramp from Edwards Road.
As the semi-truck began merging onto eastbound Interstate 94 from the ramp, it rolled over onto its driver’s side.
The driver of the truck was evaluated by paramedics at the scene and did not require any medical treatment, Bufford said.
The driver told state troopers that strong wind caused his truck to overturn. No other vehicles were involved in the incident.
All lanes of eastbound Interstate 94 south of Russell Road were closed while crews uprighted the truck and removed it from the interstate.
