Rufino Deciderio-Pedroza, 34, of Harvard.

Police have identified and arrested a Harvard man who is accused of grabbing a woman’s buttocks inside a Harvard store in September.

Rufino Deciderio-Pedroza, 34, of the 600 block of North Jefferson Street in Harvard, was charged with one count of battery, a Class A misdemeanor.

The Harvard Police Department responded around 7:21 p.m. on September 26 to the Dollar General, 1420 North Division Street.

A woman reported to officers that an unknown man grabbed her buttocks and squeezed it without permission while she was inside the store, according to Harvard Deputy Police Chief Tyson Bauman.

Officers identified Deciderio-Pedroza as the suspect and a McHenry County judge issued an arrest warrant on October 27.

Officers arrested Deciderio-Pedroza on the same day the warrant was issued and transported him to the Harvard Police Department, Bauman said.

Deciderio-Pedroza was released after posting a $100 cash bond and is scheduled to appear in court on November 18.
