A 29-year-old man was found dead several hours after he crashed his motorcycle in a rural area northwest of Marengo early Sunday morning, police said.
The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office and Marengo Fire Protection District responded around 11:58 a.m. Sunday to the area of River Road and Miller Road in Marengo Township.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. The man was not wearing a helmet, the sheriff’s office said.
