A teen boy and woman who were shot by a store clerk as they tried robbing a Round Lake Beach store at gunpoint have both been charged, police announced.

Feliciyunna S. Spruille, 20, of the 700 block of Lewis Avenue in Waukegan, was charged with two counts of armed robbery and two counts of robbery.

A 16-year-old male was also charged with armed robbery. He is not being named since he is a juvenile, police said.

The Round Lake Beach Police Department responded around 10:47 p.m. Monday to the One Stop Food and Liquor, 1015 North Fairfield Road in Round Lake Beach, for a report of an armed robbery.

Officers learned that a female suspect, identified as Spruille, and the 16-year-old boy entered the business and ordered the employees behind the counter at gunpoint.

During the robbery, one of the employees was able to access a firearm and shot several rounds at the suspects, striking both of them.

The suspects fled the store into a waiting vehicle, which fled the area northbound on Fairfield Road.

The 16-year-old boy has been released from the hospital and is being held at the Depke Juvenile Detention Center in Vernon Hills.
