A cell phone store in Harvard was robbed Monday evening and police are searching for two suspects, officials said.
The Harvard Police Department responded around 5:18 p.m. Monday to the Boost Mobile, 59 North Ayer Street in Harvard, for a report of a theft that had just occurred.
Harvard Deputy Police Chief Tyson Bauman said that two suspects entered the store and asked about cell phones.
One of the suspects followed an employee into the back and told them to “cooperate” while the other suspect remained in the lobby area.
Bauman said the suspect ordered the employee to place several cell phones into a bag and both subjects then left on foot in an unknown direction.
The two suspects are described as male Blacks, between 5-foot-6 and 6-feet tall, and both in their 20s. Police did not say if the men were armed with any weapons.
One of them was wearing a white and tan hoodie with blue jeans and the other was wearing a black hoodie with blue jeans that had a white design on them.
The incident remains under investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact the Harvard Police Department at 815-943-4431 or the Harvard Crime Stoppers at 815-943-4343.
