A Lake in the Hills man was arrested after he allegedly tried to headbutt two police officers and then threatened another officer during an arrest.

Sebastian Pietrzyk, 24, of the 600 block of Anderson Drive in Lake in the Hills, was charged with domestic battery causing bodily harm, domestic battery physical contact, resisting a peace officer, aggravated assault on a peace officer, threatening a public official and criminal damage to government property.

The Lake in the Hills Police Department responded around 8:25 a.m. December 5 to the 600 block of Anderson Drive for a report of a domestic battery.

A criminal complaint filed in McHenry County court alleges Pietrzyk grabbed his father by the neck area and pushed him down, causing injury to his elbow and neck area.

A police officer tried to arrest Pietrzyk but he ran away from him and refused to be handcuffed, the complaint says.

Pietrzyk then shook and swung his head in an attempt to headbutt two of the officers, the complaint says, adding that Pietrzyk also threatened an officer and the officer’s family.

Officers were able to take the man into custody. Pietrzyk remains held in the McHenry County jail on a $40,000 bond.

He is scheduled to appear in court again on Wednesday for a hearing to set a trial date.
