A McHenry man is facing numerous charges after he allegedly punched two McHenry County sheriff’s deputies in the head and kicked another deputy’s legs.
Adam D. Pringle, 30, of the 1900 block of Orchard Lane in McHenry, was charged with four counts of aggravated battery on a peace officer, a Class 2 felony, and one count of resisting a peace officer, a Class A misdemeanor.
Pringle was arrested by the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office around 4:30 p.m. on December 20, according to court records.
A criminal complaint filed in McHenry County court alleges that Pringle used his fist to strike two McHenry County sheriff’s deputies in the head.
He also kicked two deputies in their legs and refused commands to sit and stop resisting during the arrest, the complaint said.
Pringle was transported to the McHenry County jail where he remains after a judge ordered him held on a $50,000 bond, which means he would need to post $5,000 bail to be released.
A McHenry County judge denied Pringle’s request for a bond reduction and ordered the man to undergo psychiatric and psychological evaluations.
Pringle is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing on Wednesday.
