Justin D. Devine, 26, of St. Charles.

A former Verizon Wireless employee was found guilty of sending himself nude photos from a customer’s cellphone while helping the woman at a Huntley store in 2018.

Justin D. Devine, 26, of the 6N block of Juniper Court in St. Charles, was charged with two counts of non-consensual dissemination of a sex image, a class 4 felony.

Huntley police were called on September 19, 2018, to the Verizon Wireless Authorized Retailer, located at 12320 Route 47 in Huntley.

The victim told police that she gave her cellphone to Devine, who was a store employee, in order for him to help her fix it.

Prosecutors said that while Devine had the victim’s phone, he sent five sexual photos of the victim from her phone to his own phone.

When the victim confronted him about it, he denied any wrongdoing and she called the police.

Devine surrendered to authorities on October 17, 2018, after a warrant was issued. A Kane County Judge set his bond at $15,000 and he was released after posting $1,500 cash at the time of his arrest.

Devine later confessed to the crime. A judge found the man guilty during a bench trial on Friday.

He will remain out of jail on bail until his sentencing hearing on March 24. Devine faces a sentence of probation or 1-3 years in prison.
