Police arrested a 49-year-old man after they recovered crack cocaine, a stun gun and cash during a warrant at a motel in Fox Lake on Thursday.

James A. Mobley, 49, of Fox Lake, was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, unlawful possession of a controlled substance and possession of illegal paraphernalia.

The Fox Lake Police Department and Lake County Metropolitan Enforcement Group (LCMEG) conducted a joint investigation into Mobley.

The investigation was started following tips from citizens, according to Fox Lake Police Chief Jimmy Lee.

Police determined Mobley resided at the Fox Lake Motel, located at 25 South Route 12 in Fox Lake.

Probable cause was developed and presented to a Lake County judge, who then approved a search warrant.

The search warrant was executed early in the morning on Thursday. No one was injured during the execution of the search warrant, Lee said.

Approximately 16.5 grams of crack cocaine, a stun gun and $4,326 in cash were seized.

Mobley was arrested and transported to Fox Lake Police Department where he was processed and later transferred to the Lake County Jail.

A judge ordered him held on a $150,000 bond. He will be required to post $15,000 cash in order to be released on bail.
