The McHenry Township Fire Protection District and McHenry County Sheriff’s Office responded around 3:24 p.m. Tuesday to Wilmot Road and Miller Road in Spring Grove for a vehicle crash with injuries.
Sheriff’s deputies arrived and found a two-vehicle crash involving a 2017 Ford Focus and a Ford F-350 pickup truck, according to McHenry County Sheriff Spokeswoman Sgt. Aimee Knop.
The driver of the Ford Focus, a 17-year-old female, was trapped inside her vehicle and injured. Firefighters extricated the woman by removing the roof from her car.
Paramedics transported the 17-year-old girl to nearby McHenry Township Fire Protection District Station #2 at 3710 Johnsburg Road in Johnsburg, where a LifeNet medical helicopter landed.
