Family members and police are asking for the public’s help in locating a 27-year-old man from Crystal Lake who has been missing for over a week.

Jon Chung, 27, was last seen on March 16 from his family’s home in the 1600 block of Deerhaven Drive in Crystal Lake.

The family called the police on March 22 to report Chung missing, according to Crystal Lake Deputy Police Chief Derek Hyrkas.

The Crystal Lake Police Department said they have actively and aggressively investigated the circumstances surrounding Chung’s failure to return home or communicate with his family.

“We do not suspect Jon’s disappearance was the result of foul play; however, we share in his family’s concern for his well-being,” Hyrkas said.

Crystal Lake detectives are pursuing a number of leads at this time in the search.
