No injuries were reported but both lanes of Route 47 in Woodstock were closed for two hours after a truck crashed into a utility pole Thursday morning.
The Woodstock Fire/Rescue District and Woodstock Police Department responded around 7:39 a.m. Thursday to the 500 block of North Eastwood Drive for a vehicle crash.
Emergency crews received a call for a vehicle accident that involved utility wires down, fire officials said.
Firefighters arrived to find a red pickup truck that had collided and seriously damaged a utility pole.
The Woodstock Fire/Rescue District said the damaged utility pole created a hazardous condition across the roadway.
The Woodstock Police Department and Woodstock Fire/Rescue District both assisted in closing Route 47 in both directions for approximately two hours while the scene was mitigated.
The truck was occupied by two people and both refused medical treatment at the scene.
Route 47 has since been reopened, the fire district said late Thursday morning. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
It is unknown how the crash was caused or if any citations had been issued.
