A pop-up COVID-19 vaccination clinic at the Round Lake Beach Civic Center still has hundreds of appointments open for today for residents of numerous Lake County towns.

The clinic will administer first dose shots from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Round Lake Beach Cultural and Civic Center, 2007 North Civic Center Way in Round Lake Beach.

The event is sponsored by the United Vision of Round Lake Beach and Lake County Board Members Dick Barr and Judy Martini, in partnership with Jewel-Osco.

It is open to residents 16 and older with zip codes 60046 and 60073, which includes Lake Villa, Fox Lake Hills, Venetian Village, Lindenhurst, Volo, Round Lake, Round Lake Park and Round Lake Beach.

An appointment is required and those who wish to sign up can do so by visiting the following website: kordinator.mhealthcoach.net/vcl/1618849976574.

As of Wednesday morning, all the time slots remained open on the website’s schedule.

The second dose of the vaccine, which is Pfizer, will be administered on May 12.

Second dose appointments will be administered at the same time on May 12 as the participant’s first dose appointment.

Participants are asked to bring a driver’s license or state ID, proof of residency (utility bill or bank statement) and a completed hard copy of the consent form.

“The Round Lake area is a high-risk area that needs all the help we can give. Sometimes that means rolling up your sleeves, being creative, and doing everything in your power to get things done,” Martini said.
