Nicholas P. Fishman, 26, of Waukegan.

A Waukegan man was arrested and charged after investigators found the man in possession of child pornography videos and photos, court documents show.

Nicholas P. Fishman, 26, of the 800 block of Indiana Avenue in Waukegan, was charged with three counts of child pornography, a Class 2 felony.

An arrest warrant was approved on March 25 by a Lake County judge, who found probable cause to issue the warrant.

A criminal complaint filed in Lake County Circuit Court alleges that Fishman possessed three separate videos.

Each of the videos, which were recovered from the man’s computer, depicted a child being sexually assaulted, the complaint said.

Fishman was taken into custody the same day the warrant was issued.

After Fishman was arrested, authorities found additional child pornography during their investigation.

The investigation was led by the Lake County State’s Attorney’s Office, according to court records.

Fishman was later charged with five more charges of child pornography after investigators found three more videos and two photos.

A judge initially ordered Fishman held on a $500,000 bond, meaning he would need to post $50,000 cash in order to be released from the Lake County Jail.

A judge later lowered the man’s bond to $250,000. He remains held in jail and would need to post $25,000 cash in order to be released.

An arraignment hearing is scheduled to take place on May 7.
