An Algonquin man was arrested after police found him in possession of multiple videos of child pornography, court documents show.

Tyler J. Weine, 20, of the 1-100 block of South Oakleaf Road in Algonquin, was charged with three counts of child pornography, a Class 2 felony.

A criminal complaint filed in McHenry County Circuit Court alleges Weine possessed three videos found by police detectives on May 20.

Those videos depicted young males, who were under the age of 18, in a lewd exhibition and were on Weine’s iPhone, the complaint said.

The case was investigated by the Algonquin Police Department, who arrested him on the evening of May 20, court records show.

A McHenry County judge set Weine’s bond at $40,000 during a bail determination hearing.

Weine posted $4,000 cash and was released from the McHenry County Jail on May 21.
