No one was injured but firefighters had to extricate a trapped driver after their car rolled over following a two-vehicle crash in McHenry.
The McHenry Township Fire Protection District and McHenry Police Department responded around 10:05 p.m. Wednesday to Charles J. Miller Road and Route 31 for a vehicle crash.
McHenry Deputy Police Chief Thomas Walsh said a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox was traveling westbound on Charles J. Miller Road at Route 31.
The Chevrolet was going through the intersection to continue westbound on Bull Valley Road.
The Chevrolet collided with a 2008 Saturn Aura that had been traveling eastbound on Bull Valley Road and attempting to turn northbound on Route 31.
The crash caused the Chevrolet to roll onto its side and the driver to become trapped, Walsh said.
Firefighters removed the driver of the Chevrolet. There were no passengers in the Chevrolet or Saturn.
Paramedics evaluated the driver of the Chevrolet at the scene. The drivers of both vehicles did not require transport to the hospital.
Walsh said that the investigating officer did not issue any traffic citations due to conflicting statements on who had the right-of-way and because of not having any independent witnesses.
