Police say that a 15-year-old girl who went missing from North Chicago over a month ago has been located safe and is back home.
Emani C. Depillars, 15, of North Chicago, was last seen on April 29, according to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Emani was last seen at a residence on Acorn Drive in North Chicago and had not been seen or heard from since, police said last month.
Emani had no money, no cell phone, and no form of transportation when she went missing, according to the Missing Persons Awareness Network.
The North Chicago Police Department previously told Lake and McHenry County Scanner that they were being assisted by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
A spokesperson for the City of North Chicago said Friday evening that Emani had been located safe and is now back home.
No additional details surrounding the incident were available, the spokesperson added.
