Construction crews will be replacing multiple road culverts on North Avenue near Antioch later this month, which will cause a road closure for several days.

The Lake County Division of Transportation said they will be closing North Avenue between Deep Lake Road and Route 45 to through traffic for a culvert replacement.

The closure will begin at 6 a.m. on June 21 and is scheduled to reopen late afternoon on June 25.

Local traffic will have access from North Avenue east of Deep Lake Road to Lamplighter Lane and from Route 45 and Bristol Road to just east of Lamplighter Lane.

The construction zone will be closed to all through traffic, the Lake County Division of Transportation said.

The signed detour route for this closure will be Deep Lake Road to Route 173 to Route 45.

Three additional culverts on North Avenue will also be replaced without the need for a full closure, officials said.

This will require daily lane closures at times during the day with the use of one-lane traffic control and flaggers.
