A 14-year-old boy remains missing after he disappeared from his Waukegan group home nearly two weeks ago, authorities said.

Ezekiel Dean Mehemiah Hantz, 14, of Waukegan, has been missing since June 9, according to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

The Missing Persons Awareness Network reported that Ezekiel was last seen at a group home in Waukegan and has not been seen or heard from since.

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children said the boy may still be in the Waukegan area.

He may also be in Jackson or Williamson counties in downstate Illinois, the Missing Persons Awareness Network said.

Ezekiel is described as a male Black, with black hair and brown eyes. He is 5-foot-8 and 214 pounds.

The Waukegan Police Department is currently investigating the case.

Anyone with information on the boy’s whereabouts is asked to call the Waukegan Police Department at 847-599-2608 and mention case number 21-23682.
