UPDATE: The woman has been located and is safe.
Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a woman who suffers from dementia and went missing Friday evening near Grayslake.
Joanne K. Ibsh, 64, of Grayslake, was last seen around 9:30 p.m. Friday in the 33600 block of North Oakland Drive in unincorporated Grayslake.
The Lake County Sheriff’s Office said the woman is believed to have left the residence on foot. It is unknown which direction she was heading.
She is considered endangered and suffers from dementia, police said. Ibsh is 5-foot-5 and weighs approximately 120 pounds.
She has hazel eyes and red hair. Ibsh was possibly wearing black biker shorts, a green t-shirt and eyeglasses.
Anyone who spots the woman is asked to call 911, the sheriff’s office said.
