Police say four suspects forced their way into a home near Waukegan Monday evening and robbed two women at knifepoint inside the residence.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office responded around 5:15 p.m. Monday to the 35600 block of North Green Bay Road in unincorporated Waukegan for a home invasion.

Sheriffโ€™s deputies arrived and located two adult women who had been the victims of a robbery inside their home, according to Lake County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Lt. Christopher Covelli.

A preliminary investigation shows four men wearing face masks and gloves entered the home and demanded money from the women, Covelli said.

One of the men took a kitchen knife and forced money from one of the victims.

The four offenders then fled to a vehicle in the vicinity and left the area. Both women were uninjured in the incident.

Sheriffโ€™s deputies and detectives continue to actively investigate. They are seeking video surveillance and speaking with potential witnesses, Covelli said.
