Three people were hospitalized after a rollover crash left multiple people trapped in their vehicle in Woodstock Friday evening.
The Woodstock Police Department and Woodstock Fire/Rescue District responded at 7:18 p.m. Friday to the intersection of Lake Avenue and South Eastwood Drive for a report of a two-vehicle rollover crash with entrapment.
Woodstock Fire/Rescue District Deputy Chief Brendan Parker said emergency crews arrived and found one vehicle rolled onto its side with two people trapped inside.
Three people were in the other vehicle, which was upright.
The two individuals inside the rolled-over vehicle had to be extricated by firefighters, Parker said.
A LifeNet medical helicopter was placed on standby and the Mutual Aid Box Alarm System (MABAS) was activated to bring additional ambulances to the scene, Parker added.
Three people were transported to Northwestern Medicine Huntley Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The other two people refused medical care at the scene, Parker said.
The road was closed for approximately one hour.
