A Wisconsin woman was arrested last week and charged with a felony for allegedly striking a Richmond firefighter-paramedic in the groin.
Kelly L. Ezelle, 48, of the N1200 block of Cedar Road in Pell Lake, Wisconsin, was charged with one count of aggravated battery to an emergency worker, a Class 3 felony.
A criminal complaint alleges Ezelle battered a fire medic with the Richmond Fire Department on September 21.
The complaint says that Ezelle caused bodily harm to the victim by striking him in the groin with her left knee.
The Richmond Fire Department has not returned a request for additional information on the incident.
Ezelle was arrested by the Richmond Police Department around 12:20 a.m. on September 21, court records show.
The woman was transported to the McHenry County Jail where she was ordered held on a $10,000 bond.
Court documents show she was released from jail after posting $1,000 cash.
Ezelle is scheduled to appear in court again on October 5 for a preliminary hearing.
