Police say they are searching for two suspects who stole over $7,000 worth of electronics from a T-Mobile store in Vernon Hills on Monday.

The Vernon Hills Police Department responded around 10:50 a.m. Monday to the T-Mobile, 850 North Milwaukee Avenue in Vernon Hills, for a report of a retail theft.

Vernon Hills Police Department Crime Prevention Officer Jeff Hemesath said two men entered the store and stole cell phones and other electronics.

The suspects exited the store and got into a beige hatchback, possibly a Scion, and fled the scene, Hemesath said.

The total value of the stolen property was estimated to be $7,500. No one was injured.

An alert was broadcasted across the Illinois State Police Emergency Radio Network (ISPERN) to all area police departments following the incident.

The alert said the two suspects were thin build male blacks, approximately 14-17 years old.
