A large stretch of Fairfield Road in Round Lake will be closed in both directions on Monday as crews replace a culvert.
The Lake County Division of Transportation (LCDOT) said they will be closing Fairfield Road from Route 120 to Route 134 in Round Lake.
The closure will take place on Monday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., LCDOT said in a statement.
The closure for the culvert replacement is only expected to take the day on Monday to complete.
LCDOT said the detour route will be Route 120 to Wilson Road to Route 134.
Local traffic will have access from Route 134 south to Nippersink Road. Residents can also access their homes from Route 120 north.
The road will be closed to all through traffic at the construction zone, which is 1/5 of a mile south of Nippersink Road at Squaw Creek.
