Five men, four of which have been charged, are accused of beating a man and robbing him of his clothes, shoes and phone in Crystal Lake, court documents show.

Davontae D. Harvey, 20, and Cody T. Hooks, 22, both of the 0-99 block of Oxford Road in Carpentersville, are facing charges of robbery, two counts of aggravated battery, mob action and theft.

Harvey and Hooks, along with three other men, allegedly beat a man at the Mobil gas station, 451 West Virginia Street in Crystal Lake, on July 15.

The suspects struck and kicked the victim, injuring him, and robbed him of his shorts, cellphone and shoes, according to a criminal complaint filed in McHenry County Circuit Court.

Warrants were issued for four of the suspects in late October, court records show.

Harvey and Hooks were taken into custody by police earlier this month.
