A LifeNet medical helicopter landed on the tollway Tuesday evening to transport a seriously injured victim from a rollover crash on Interstate 90 near Huntley.

The Huntley Fire Protection District and Illinois State Police responded around 6:15 p.m. Tuesday to Interstate 90 at mile marker 48.75 for a vehicle crash with injuries.

Illinois State Police Trooper Jayme Bufford said District 15 troopers found a single-vehicle rollover crash in the eastbound lanes.

A preliminary investigation showed a vehicle left the roadway east of Powers Road and rolled down the ditch, Bufford said.

Firefighters had to extricate someone from the vehicle after they became trapped in the wreckage.

A LifeNet medical helicopter was requested to the scene and landed on the tollway, according to fire department radio traffic.

One person from the vehicle was transported by the flight crew to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville.
