A woman was charged with attempted murder and a man was charged with battery after a man was stabbed and seriously injured in Fox Lake Friday evening.

The Fox Lake Police Department responded around 5:55 p.m. Friday to the 500 block of Lincoln Avenue in Fox Lake for a report of a physical altercation.

Fox Lake Police Chief Jimmy Lee said Ryan Fecht, 29, and Kylie Fecht, 29, were previously married.

Florencio Reyes, 32, of Round Lake Beach, was recently in a dating relationship with Kylie Fecht.

Reyes arrived at the Fecht’s residence to retrieve personal belongings, Lee said.

A physical fight ensued between Ryan Fecht and Reyes.

Kylie Fecht armed herself with a knife and joined the fight, Lee said.

She allegedly stabbed Reyes twice, Lee said. Reyes was able to flee the area and he went to Vista Medical Center in Lindenhurst.

After an investigation, arrest warrants were issued for the former couple early Saturday morning.

A search warrant was also issued for their residence.

The Fox Lake Police Department and the Northern Illinois Police Alarm System (NIPAS) Emergency Services Team executed the warrants around 7:45 a.m. Saturday.

Ryan Fecht and Kylie Fecht were arrested at the residence and police searched the home.

Lee said no one was injured during the execution of the arrest and search warrants.

Kylie Fecht was charged with attempted first-degree murder, a Class X felony. Ryan Fecht was charged with battery, a Class A misdemeanor.

A judge set Kylie Fecht’s bond at $750,000 and Ryan Fecht’s bond at $250,000.

They would need to post 10% of their bond to be released.
