A man was transported to the hospital after his girlfriend reportedly slashed him twice with a knife during a dispute in Antioch, police said.
The Antioch Police Department responded around 1 p.m. Saturday to the 900 block of Main Street in Antioch for a domestic disturbance involving a knife.
A male victim reported being involved in a domestic disturbance with his girlfriend during the early morning hours, the Antioch Police Department said.
During the altercation, the female, later identified as Charmaine E. Gunn, grabbed a kitchen knife and slashed the male twice on his arm, police said.
Officers took Gunn, 48, of Antioch, into custody without incident.
Officers recovered the kitchen knife, which was believed to have been used during the incident, during their investigation.
The man sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Gunn was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, a Class 3 felony, aggravated battery causing bodily harm, a Class 3 felony, and aggravated domestic battery, a Class 2 felony.
Gunn appeared before a Lake County judge in bond court and was ordered held in the Lake County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
The woman is scheduled to appear in court again on January 5.
