Speed and alcohol are believed to be factors after a driver suffered severe injuries after crashing his car into a wall in Waukegan Friday morning, police said.

The Waukegan Police Department and Waukegan Fire Department responded around 1:45 a.m. Friday to the Waukegan Community Unit School District 60 Lincoln Center, 1201 North Sheridan Road in Waukegan.

Fire crews were dispatched for a report of a car that caught fire after striking a brick wall in front of the property.
