The FBI is seeking the public’s help in locating a man who robbed a bank in Round Lake Beach last week.

The FBI Chicago Field Office said they responded to a bank robbery on December 20.

The robbery occurred at First Midwest Bank, located at 1777 North Cedar Lake Road in Round Lake Beach.

A suspect entered the bank around 4:20 p.m. and passed a note to the teller at the counter demanding money, according to police radio traffic.

The suspect then exited the bank and fled northbound on foot. It is unknown if he entered a vehicle or not.

The FBI did not say if the suspect got away with any money.

The FBI said the male suspect is described as approximately 5-foot-6, medium build, wearing a white t-shirt, black hooded jacket, jeans and a black hat with a logo.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect or has information on the robbery is asked to call 1-800-CALL-FBI.
