Benjamin F. Riechert, 37, of Richmond.

A man was taken into custody after he skipped court in a case where he allegedly became nude and pleasured himself inside a Crystal Lake shop.

Benjamin F. Riechert, 37, of the 200 block of Cunat Boulevard in Richmond, was charged with public indecency and disorderly conduct.

Riechert was arrested on December 1 after an incident inside Enlightened Balance, 30 North Williams Street in Crystal Lake.

A criminal complaint filed in McHenry County Circuit Court alleges Riechert dropped his underwear to the ground and started pleasuring himself with his hand.

Riechert disrobed in front of other people who were inside the store until he was nude, the complaint said.

The employees of the store told him to stop but he continued, the complaint said.

Police officers later arrested Riechert after a warrant was issued. He was released from custody after posting 10% of his $1,000 bond.

A plea hearing was scheduled for January 25 but Riechert failed to appear in court, according to court records.

A judge issued a warrant carrying a $50,000 bond and Riechert was arrested last Monday.

Riechert has since been released on a personal recognizance bond and is scheduled to appear in court on February 22.
