Police are searching for a man who reportedly tried to lure three children into his van near a park in Lake in the Hills Monday evening.
The Lake in the Hills Police Department received a report of a suspicious vehicle near a local park.
The incident occurred near Edward Williams Hynes Park, 4675 East Albrecht Road, in Lake in the Hills.
A vehicle, described as a possibly black or blue two-toned late 1980s or early 1990s Econoline van, reportedly followed three juveniles around 6 p.m. Monday.
The driver is described as an older male white and asked one of the children if she needed a ride.
The three children were all ages 14 and under, the police department said Friday evening.
Surveillance video shows the van has potential damage or some type of modification on the driver-side middle window.
