A driver was hospitalized in serious condition following a two-vehicle crash that left one vehicle rolled over in Round Lake Beach Thursday afternoon.

The Greater Round Lake Fire Protection District and Round Lake Beach Police Department responded around 2 p.m. Thursday to Fairfield Road and Mayfield Drive in Round Lake Beach.

Greater Round Lake Fire Protection District Battalion Chief Eric Hair said crews responded to a call of a vehicle crash with injuries.

Two vehicles were involved in a t-bone style crash, Hair said.

One of the vehicles, a Jeep Grand Cherokee, rolled over onto its roof during the collision.

The drivers of both vehicles were the sole occupants of their cars.

A male driver was transported to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville in serious condition, Hair said.

The other driver involved was evaluated at the scene and did not need to be transported to the hospital.
