No injuries were reported after a fire in a dust collection system prompted the evacuation of a manufacturing plant in Huntley Tuesday evening.

The Huntley Fire Protection District and Huntley Police Department responded around 9:21 p.m. Tuesday to LDI Industries, 12901 Jim Dhamer Drive in Huntley.

Huntley Deputy Fire Chief Patrick Fortunato said dispatchers received a call for smoke pouring into the building.

Firefighters arrived to find a dust collection system on fire on the exterior of the building.

Fire personnel on the scene quickly deployed water to extinguish the fire, Fortunato said.

All employees were evacuated safely and no injuries were reported.

A ventilation vehicle from the Elk Grove Village Fire Department was requested to help evacuate smoke from the large commercial building.
